Ezekial 33.32

Today we went to see a performance of Handel’s Messiah with some students. More than the music, I was impressed by how the scriptural references are put together. It seemed that no one could hear those words concerning Jesus and not be impressed of the power of God’s love shown through the suffering and sacrifice of His Son. Even more so with the powerful music backing it. And yet I wonder how many people are actually affected by it. Here the concert is a yearly tradition. I hope for some it is more than a tradition, but that they take time to reflect on what they are listening to.
